About

portrait

A glassybaby is an artfully crafted, colorful, hand-blown glass vessel that can be used as a votive or vase. Made by hand using a multi-layered glassblowing process, each glassybaby is unique with a thick, clear base and a distinctive yet simple, rounded form. Available in hundreds of colors, glassybaby have a loyal following of customers who come to the company’s Seattle, Bellevue, and New York retail stores and web site to purchase gifts, add to their collections, and share their glassybaby stories. Every year, glassybaby donates a percentage of sales from select colors and stores to support organizations such as Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, Gilda's Club NYC and the Humane Society. These causes are close to the heart of glassybaby founder Lee Rhodes, who waged a 7-year battle with cancer. To date, the company has donated more than half a million dollars to charities dedicated to health, healing, and quality of life.
